Due to the high regard of CSWIP and BGAS-CSWIP certificates, many individuals seek to gain employment using falsified certificates and ID cards to claim certified status.
To protect the validity and reputation of the certificates we issue, we have taken several actions to prevent the falsifying of certificates, such as;
- Embossing our certificates with the CSWIP logo
- Each certificate is signed by an approved CSWIP Certification Officer
- Providing photo ID cards with certificates to help prove identity
- Providing a free-to-use service where the veracity of each certificate can be checked and confirmed
Even when a certificate appears to have the relevant stamp, signature, and ID card to go with it, we still advise everyone to double check its validity on our website – no matter how genuine it appears.
Our verification service is clear, quick, and easy to use. By simply inputting the name of the certificate holder or their certificate number, and their date of birth – which are both located on their certificate - the site will bring up a photo of the candidate, details of the certification(s) they hold, as well as the date that the certificate(s) expire.
If, after checking the verification site, you cannot verify the certificate and thus suspect that an act of fraudulence has occurred, you should report these concerns to us by sending an email to verification@twicertification.com. Please include the full details (including contact details) of the individual who is claiming to hold the certificate and we shall advise accordingly.
Our TWI Cert Management Committees have a zero tolerance policy against the falsification of CSWIP and BGAS-CSWIP certificates and ID cards. Once the reported case has been through a review process, if the certificate/ID card is found to be falsified, the individual can be banned for life from ever holding another certification from TWI Cert and could have any other certificates they hold revoked.
Since 2024, individuals who have been found to be in breach of TWI Certs Code of Conduct and banned from holding CSWIP and BGAS-CSWIP certifications, will have their relevant details displayed on our CSWIP website.
