With the increasing use of thermoplastics in new constructions and repair work, there is a need for competent individuals to conduct the welding of plastics, as well as for personnel who can inspect and confirm the quality of the work carried out.

A holder of a CSWIP Plastics Welder certificate has demonstrated competence in welding thermoplastics in new constructions and in repair. Certification is provided in accordance with industry standards assuring employers and clients that any welding conducted is of appropriate quality.

CSWIP Visual Plastics Welding Inspectors, Plastics Welding Inspectors and Senior Plastics welding Inspectors are certified for inspection of welded joints in pipe, sheet and geomembrane. Thoroughly familiar with plastics welding processes and procedures, as well as qualifications, materials and weld testing, a CSWIP certified plastics inspector demonstrates knowledge and skill to required standards.
